Although round one had less than ideal weather conditions, round two in March was perfect with a full race card being completed. The race is now on to add to the point score totals for the annual trophies and prize money.

2024 2025 NSW Formula Future Championships
The St. George Power Boat Club is again proud to be hosting the 2024 2025 NSW Formula Future Championships for J1, J2 and J3 classes at the St George Motor Boat Club on Saturday 15 March 2025. Entries should be made on the latest version of the APBA race entry form and forwarded to the NSW APBA Secretary via the following email nswcouncilapba@hotmail.com.

CLUB DAY 26 May 2024
Our Final club day for the 2023/2023 season is on Sunday 26 May 2024
This is the final chance to gain points towards the annual championships, including the Graham Bailey scratch race series and the W.J. George handicap series, amongst others.
We already have received entries from a wide range of boat, so it looks like the competition will be hot. It promises to be our best club day of the season, for competitors and spectators alike.
AUSTRALIAN FORMULA FUTURE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 – 2022

We are proud to again be conducting the Australian Formula Future Championships for the J1, J2 and J3 classes.
This will be a stand alone weekend for Formula Futures. There will be no other classes conducted over the weekend.

There is no fee to enter this event.
It is currently planned to conduct the J1 and J2 events on Saturday, followed by the J3 on Sunday, given the possibility of a large number of entries. This will be confirmed at a later date.
For interstate competitors, the St. George MBC is a large, registered sporting club on the banks of Kogarah Bay at Sans Souci, just south of Sydney. The club has many facilities including two restaurants/cafés and several lounge areas.
Although part of Sydney’s suburban district, accommodation options are not great, but several are available that may be suitable for boat trailers. These include –
Abcot Inn at Sylvania Heights and Sutherland Motel.
Accommodation is also available at the Caringbah Inn.
CLUB DAY Sunday 29 May 2022
Entries are open for our final club day for the season on Sunday 29 May 2022. In addition to two trophy races there are 8 boats in contention for the annual club point score championship with its own trophy and prize money. We planning on running handicap races in addition to the scratch races if our new race clock is set up.
Pitts will open at 7am with scrutineering from 8am. Race classes will be determined by the entries received.

CLUB DAY Sunday 13 February 2022
Entries are now open for our second club day of the season.
In addition to the usual club day races where points are allocated for the end of season trophies and prizes, competitors are eligible to contest the Sid Anderson trophy (and prize) to be run and won on the day.
The good news is that it is free entry but due to covid requirements we need entries prior to the event. Competitors & crews are required to adhere to the relevant Covid 19 hygiene and social distancing requirements of the Power Boat Club, Motor Boat Club, APBA and NSW Government.

2021 Spectacular Cancelled
Due to the additional personnel required to manage covid 19 limitations in addition to the usual race day activities the decision has been made to regretfully cancel the Speedboat Spectacular and Championship races for 2021. We are hopeful that we will back up and running next year.
We are still planning to hold the Formula Futures Championships on 3rd. July 2021.
We will also be testing our crowd control systems at the Bullett Boat static display on Saturday 15 May 2021, celebrating 50 years of Bullett Boats.
2020 Centenary Spectacular
In order to finalise the line up of events for the Centenary Speedboat Spectacular on 23 and 24 May and the Vintage & Veteran Boats demonstration on 30 May 2020, Expressions of Interest are now requested for the Speedboat Spectacular. Preliminary classes are listed on the EOI form on the 2020 Spectacular page, plus provision for other classes to nominate. If sufficient requests are received for additional classes, consideration will be given to adding them to the program.

As previously advised by the APBA NSW Council, the NSW Formula Futures Championship will be held at St. George Motor Boat Club on Saturday 23 June 2018, starting at 10am.
Additionally in lieu of a regular club day, On Sunday 24 June 2018, we will be holding the remainder of the races that were scheduled for the Sunday of our last Spectacular, subject to there being adequate number of boats available to attend. We are planning to start at 10am.
The events to be run will be:
- Unlimited Outboard – Kerry Rogers – 3 heats
- Unlimited Inboard – Spencer Miller
- 105 mph class – Bill Ward
- Sports Mono – Steve Antuch
- 6 lt. Open – Barry Sharp

Prize money will be paid to all finishers in a final of each race or race series.
Entry Fee:
There is no entry fee for competitors who lodged entries for the February Spectacular.

2018 Speedboat Spectacular
Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2018 Speedboat Spectacular. Unfortunately we weren’t able to complete the races scheduled for Sunday 25th February. Some of those races will be scheduled for our next club day on Saturday 23rd. June 2018.
A debriefing for the 2018 Spectacular will be held at the St. George Motor Boat Club on Tuesday 13 March 2018.
Don’t forget the NSW Formula Future Championships will be held on Sunday 24th June 2018.

The PBC pre-race committee meeting is on 7pm tonight at the St. George Motor Boat Club. It’s not looking good for the weekend, at the moment we only have one big boat and two juniors interested in attending.

2017 Speedboat Spectacular Update
The 2017 Speedboat Spectacular (including the APBA Championship Races) has been postponed to the weekend of the 24 and 25 June 2017. The final round of the NSW Formula Future Championships will also be run.
Spectacular Events will be held on Saturday 24 June, with APBA Championships scheduled for Sunday 25 June. If required some Spectacular events may be postponed to Sunday 25 June.
